Kelly Mahoney had the time of his life attending his very first horse race as he watched Rich Strike (Keen Ice) make one of the biggest upsets in Derby history. Afterwards, he called up his business partner Brad Kinsell and uttered that notorious phrase: 'I want to win the Kentucky Derby.'

Adios Charlie’s 4-year-old filly Stone Silent chalked up her third stakes win in a row Sunday at Gulfstream park with a rail-skimming victory in the $100,000 Captiva Island S.

Making her first start for new owners Victoriam Farm LLC and red-hot trainer Brian Lynch, Florida-bred Stone Silent responded well to her new surroundings with a victory in the $125,000 Abundantia at Gulfstream Park on Dec. 31.
